Cosmetic Clutter Organizers

♦For organizing cosmetics in drawers, consider using trays with dividers. That way you don't have to dig through a stack of items to find the one you need, which is usually on the bottom or slid to the back of the drawer.

♦You might be able to improvise with a flatware tray sold in the kitchen section of stores. But oftentimes, bathroom drawers are much narrower in size. Take measurements so you know what size drawer organizer will fit if you decide to go that organizational route.

♦Organize.com sells more than a dozen different cosmetic and makeup organizers. Some are stackable trays with divided compartments. Others are custom made cosmetic organizers that hold certain items like lipsticks or nail polish bottles.

♦Similar in concept to the flatware holder is this Expand A Drawer Bath & Vanity Organizer from Organize.com that allows you to see everything in your bathroom drawer at a glance.

	♦If you have loads of cosmetics, you may need a much larger professional makeup kit that you keep in the bathroom cabinet or in your dressing area of your bedroom. You might be able to improvise with portable tool boxes, portable fishing tackle boxes or craft storage containers--the kind that open on hinges where you can see three levels or so of divided compartments at a glance. A portable professional makeup organizer box shares the same concept (but it's prettier!). However, unless you're a makeup diva (in which case you likely already know about what's tops in makeup cases), you probably don't need something that big to sort and organize your cosmetics. ♦Finally, you'll have a place to stand those lipsticks vertically. Digging through five lipsticks to find the one you want is annoying. Stand the lipstick vertically in the cosmetic organizer so that either you can read the name on the bottom of the lipstick or so that you can see the color on the top of the lipstick (depending on which way you face it in the organizer).
