Craft Organizers - Craft Storage

♦Place a pegboard on the wall in front of your craft work table This could be used to hold your paint brushes, screw drivers, and other mid-size arts and crafts tools. You find pegboards where garage organizers are sold.

♦Stores also sell magnetic racks which is a strip that you attach to the wall. Use screws to mount the rack to the wall. The side facing you has the magnet to hold your metal items. Hang small metal arts and craft tools in plain sight. Attach it to the wall in front of your craft table or to the side of your table. (If you're operating a computer here too, such as for a digital scrapbooking hobby, you shouldn't put any magnets directly adjacent to that equipment).

You sometimes find these magnetic racks in the kitchen section of stores because they can hold knives. Sometimes they're called a knife rack, which you obviously could convert to an arts and craft tool holder.

♦But you also find versions of these magnetic racks in the garage section of stores too labeled as magnetic tool holders. And you might find them in the home office or craft section of stores too. In some cases, the back of the strip may be the magnet portion. That means you'd attach the magnetic side of the rack to the side of your metal desk, for instance. But the front might not have a magnet portion; instead it might have individual clasps to hold your craft tools.

♦Or use a wall-mountable tool rack sold by that you screw to the wall.

♦If you're into the magnetic theme though, stores also sell small containers with magnetic bottoms that stick to a metal strip (included). You just screw the metal strip into the wall (or wherever you want to place it). The containers can hold small arts and craft items such as paperclips or buttons. They have see-through lids. You just grab the whole container, take out what you want and stick it back to the metal strip.

Here's one sold by Organize.com It also comes in white and red colors. If you have a lot of small embellishments you use regularly, buy several of these and mount them horizontally one beneath another. Likewise, you could mount them vertically side-by-side too or beneath each other to form a straight column. But it would be best to put them directly in your line of vision (and reach) when seated for your convenience.
