♦Gloves or mittens are best kept at point of use. Always keep a pair of
gloves or mittens permanently in your car glove box or auto organizer. There are times when
you will want them immediately and this will save you a return trip back into
your home if you forgot your gloves. And even if you don't wear gloves in your
car on a cold day (while you're waiting on that heater to kick in), you may have
an emergency. If you have to change a flat tire on a very cold day, you'll be
thankful for those gloves on your hands when you exit the car (your hands will
stay warm and clean).
♦Store a pair of knit gloves in your winter coat pockets. Put one pair in the pocket of each coat or
jacket that you wear frequently or to work. When you take your coat off upon
returning home or at work, make it a habit to put the gloves in one of the coat
pockets. You'll always have them when you need them and will never lose them.
The first thing you'll want on a cold winter day is your coat or jacket. Nobody
who walks an inch out of the door on a cold day fails to remember their coat
instantly. But the second thing you'll want is your gloves. And you may not
remember these instantly. So if you remember your coat, and that's where you
store your gloves, you've always got your gloves should you need them.
♦Another place to keep gloves is in a
decorative basket on an accent table in your foyer
near the door. Your guests can throw their gloves here too. You also could stash
family gloves in an over the door vinyl pocket organizer that you hang on the
inside of a foyer closet door or hall closet door.
♦When you see gloves that you like in the store, buy several pairs at once. That
way you can keep them at the different locations mentioned in this article and
always have your "favorite" style on.
♦Of course other types of gloves such as golf gloves or latex and vinyl cleaning
gloves should be kept at their point of use. Keep golf gloves attached to the
golf bag or on a shelf on the golf rack.

♦Keep disposable cleaning gloves in your
utility basket with your cleaning supplies, such as with the cleaner that you
use to wash the floor. The

Sometimes you can find inexpensive ones similar in concept to this one, but
different styles, at your local dollar store. Wal-mart has one too. Prices vary.
I use these under the kitchen sink and in the garage too (on shelving) for
holding containers of household cleaning solutions, car cleaners, bug sprays,
etc.
