Holiday dishes. Don't you wish you could use those festive
bowls, plates and serving and candy dishes year-round? You could but then you
wouldn't be too excited about seeing them when the holidays roll around. But you
won't be too excited to see them either if you unpack your holiday dishes from
storage only to find chips and broken pieces. Here are holiday dish storage
products and tips to store your holiday dishes.
♦If you're storing mostly plastic holiday dishes (or anything but the good
China), you may be happy with this heavy-duty plastic
Holiday Dish Storage Box
from Stacks and Stacks.
It's made by Iris which manufacturers many different types of
plastic containers so you can count on good construction. This particular
holiday dish storage container has cardboard dividers made to
fit the container that separate your types of dishes, such as the bowls from the
plates. The cranberry lid fits right in with a color-coded holiday storage plan
(e.g. You're using all red lids for Christmas storage bins).
♦For extra
protection, put white felt plate dividers between your dishes in the plastic
holiday dish storage box. A set of
Plate Dividers - White Felt
for all of your plates and saucers costs
about $10 from Stacks and Stacks. Or you can buy a large sheet of felt from a
craft store and cut your own custom shaped dividers.
♦Do you have really nice holiday pattern dishes of breakable material? Then use regular China keeper storage sets. For instance, Organize-Everything
sells
China Plate Storage
keepers with quilted sides that provide cushion. You load the China
through the top opening and then zip the keeper closed. The different size China
keepers hold full-size dinner plates, saucers, salad plates and dessert plates.
And some China keeper sets or separates have China storage for serving platters
and cups. Usually they have foam dividers to keep the dishes separated and safe
from bumping each other. Some China storage sets have see-through windows or
labels/content cards on the outside of each keeper. This is good if you have more than one set
of holiday dishes or other China sets. Make sure you buy a China storage set of
keepers
large enough for your number of place settings. Click through the link above to
search for other China storage keepers from Organize-Everything.
All of these products and methods for organizing holiday dish storage keep your dishes dust free and secure and protects them from
getting damaged year-round.
