Store receipts
in an empty coffee can or empty jumbo butter container. Put a slit in the
plastic lid so you can just slip your paper receipts into the container
without opening it each time. Sort and organize the receipts quarterly or
annually (or turn the container of receipts over to your accountant at tax
time). You may want to keep business receipts in a separate container from
personal receipts (which ultimately you may discard annually).
